Job Overview:
- This assignment pertains to Safety Analysis area of Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) BWRX-300 Project; key areas include:
- DNNP BWRX-300 Deterministic Safety Analysis Support and some Probabilistic Safety Analysis & Severe Accident Analysis Support
- Support to the DNNP Licensing team in the safety analysis area
- Any potential safety analysis support to our client’s New Nuclear Engineering Technology deployment
- Mentoring and training of existing staff for safety analysis and licensing matters
Qualifications:
- Individual must be an industry expert in the deterministic safety analysis area and must have multiple years of Canadian nuclear industry experience in safety and licensing
- Have background and experience on DNNP BWRX-300 Nuclear Safety Analysis and licensing matters, including existing engagement with CNSC staff on various safety analysis RFls and key safety analysis topics
- Have background and experience in the DNNP Licence to Construct (LTC) and Licence to Operate (LTO) Application Phases
- Have international experience, working with regulatory jurisdictions outside of Canada (such as US or overseas)
- Proficient knowledge of CANDU OWNERS GROUP (COG), CNSC, and IAEA affairs
- Have knowledge and experience in New Nuclear deployment licensing phases
