Job Overview

  • In Q2 2027, Darlington will be undertaking its Vacuum Building Outage (VBO) and performing its Vacuum Building Inspection (VBI). The VBO is a major project for Darlignton, as all four units are taken offline during this outage.
  • It is essential that the outage is completed in an effective, timely manner, to minimize the economic and operation impact to the company.
  • Candidate will be performing assessing work for the VBO/VBI. This includes evaluating tasks, processes, and systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This may include risk assessment, task evaluation, performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and inspections.
  • Candidate will be responsible for helping ensure that VBO/VBI work planning execution is performed in a correct, timely manner.

Qualifications

  • CANDU Operations experience required.
  • Former holding of a licensed operations position considered an asset.
  • Engineering Management experience with Reactor Safety considered an asset.
  • Requires a knowledge of control, mechanical or civil technology sufficient to understand the assembly, function, operation and mechanics of applicable equipment, systems and materials.
  • Experience in assessing and planning station work considered an asset.
