Job Overview
Successful candidate will be responsible to develop comprehensive project governance manuals for each project phase (Preliminary Planning and Design, Detailed Engineering, Execution, Commissioning & Closeout) in alignment with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements. The forecast end dates for each of the manuals are as follows:
- Preliminary Planning and Design
- Detailed Engineering
- Execution
- Commissioning and Closeout – TBD
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Development:
- Draft, edit, and finalize governance manuals for each project phase.
- Ensure manuals address project controls, decision gates, quality assurance, risk management, safety, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitate and document input from subject matter experts (engineering, finance, safety, operations, regulatory, etc.).
- Lead or participate in workshops, interviews, and review sessions.
Regulatory Alignment:
- Ensure all documentation meets applicable nuclear regulations, industry best practices (e.g., CSA, INPO, IAEA, CII), and internal company policies.
Version Control and Review:
- Manage document revisions, track feedback, and maintain version history.
- Coordinate formal reviews and approvals.
Training and Handover:
- Prepare summary materials or presentations to support training and implementation of the governance manuals.
- Provide handover documentation at project completion.
Deliverables

- Templates/ Desktop Guides – Review
- Meeting notes, workshop summaries, and feedback logs
- Documented review and approval records

Reporting and Communication
- Regular progress updates to project leadership.
- Participation in project governance and steering committee meetings as needed.
- Escalation protocol for unresolved issues or risks.
Performance Metrics
- Adherence to project schedule and quality standards.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with process and deliverables.
- Successful regulatory and internal approval of manuals.
Other Requirements
- Adherence to all confidentiality and security protocols
- Use of designated document management and collaboration tools ([e.g., SharePoint, Teams])
- Willingness to travel to project sites or participate in in-person workshops if required
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in project scope or regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience writing governance documents/manuals for nuclear projects.
- Deep knowledge of nuclear regulatory frameworks and project delivery processes, CII, industry best practices.
- Strong facilitation, interviewing, and technical writing skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments.
