Job Overview
- Development and implementation of governance, supporting procedures, contract and procurement templates
- Drafting and negotiating agreements
- Administration of contracts from the point of award through to close-out as it relates to IT, construction and general services agreements
- Administration and management of claims and disputes, including drafting settlement agreements
Qualifications
- The candidate must have sound knowledge of Supply Chain functions from cradle to grave.
- Knowledge of procurement modernization/transformation is an asset.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with senior level presentation skills and be capable of working at all levels of the organization.
- This role typically requires a degree, diploma or certification in a law, paralegal, contract management or similar program and is complimented with a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience performing the job responsibilities noted above in a senior capacity with a large organization.
- Education in business administration is an asset.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects in a government organization is an asset (e.g. transportation, energy)
- Extensive knowledge and application with the Construction Act Ontario is required.
