Job Overview
The Senior Solution Configurator – Data Migration is responsible for supporting the migration of enterprise data from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data migration development and configuration activities for the transition from ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with project architecture, data governance standards, and migration strategy.
- Design, configure, and execute end‑to‑end migration processes using Syniti ADMM/ADM, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and load preparation.
- Utilize SAP’s “Migrate Your Data” app to manage staging tables, mapping rules, conversion logic, and load execution using IDoc, BAPI, and other supported methods.
- Analyze SAP ECC and S/4HANA data models to identify dependencies, data quality issues, and transformation requirements across master data and transactional data domains.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformation logic in SQL Server or Sybase to support data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot data quality defects, migration errors, and load failures, collaborating with functional teams and business stakeholders to resolve pre‑ and post‑load validation issues.
- Participate in migration cutover planning, mock conversions, defect resolution cycles, and iterative testing to ensure readiness for production deployment.
- Prepare technical documentation, mapping specifications, validation reports, and audit‑ready artifacts to support governance, traceability, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on SAP data migration experience, including at least 2–3 years working with Syniti ADMM/ADM.
- Strong understanding of Syniti ADMM platform architecture, design principles, and end‑to‑end configuration of migration projects.
- Successful participation in 2–3 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA data migration or implementation projects.
- Deep knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA data models, including master data, transactional data, and cross‑module dependencies.
- Proven expertise with SAP’s “Migrate Your Data” app, including staging tables, mapping, conversion objects, and load execution methods (IDoc, BAPI).
- Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and transformation logic in SQL Server or Sybase.
- Experience troubleshooting data quality issues, migration defects, load failures, and validation discrepancies in collaboration with technical and business teams.
