Job Overview

We’re looking for Senior Construction Managers for a 36-month contract with expertise in leading large-scale and complex construction projects. This role demands a strategic thinker and proven leader who brings a strong technical foundation, superior communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality. If you are an experienced leader with 15+ years of field experience—someone who has successfully overseen both new builds and major renovations across highly regulated industries—this is the opportunity to bring your capabilities to a dynamic and high-impact environment.

What You’ll Do
As the Senior Construction Manager, you’ll be the central point of leadership for on-site construction execution, vendor management, and project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring full implementation of environmental and safety standards across all contractor activities.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for the contractor, representing both the project and the company.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with contract terms, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Developing and overseeing site logistics, budgets, schedules, construction supervision, and project close-out activities.
  • Advising leadership on any emergent issues affecting project performance, including environmental, legal, reputational, and health/safety implications.
  • Partnering with Project Managers, our client’s Contracts and Supply Chain teams to establish clear contract standards and vendor expectations.
  • Leading risk-based monitoring of field activities to ensure contractor compliance with qualifications, legal obligations, and quality systems.
  • Managing conflict resolution, claim settlements, and escalations through structured, collaborative processes.
  • Providing transparent, data-driven status updates to both project teams and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience managing large-scale civil construction projects in sectors such as nuclear, automotive, transit, hospitals, public facilities, and residential.
  • Proven success in both Project Manager and Site Superintendent roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with strengths in management oversight, conflict resolution, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Superior oral, written, and digital communication skills.
  • Versatility across delivery models including lump sum, design-build, and construction management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, contractual, and operational constraints in high-compliance environments.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is an asset.
  • If you thrive on solving complex challenges with precision and integrity, this is the contract for you! You’ll have the opportunity to shape impactful infrastructure and projects while working with industry leaders and top-tier contractors.
  • Your expertise will help ensure not just project success, but champion lasting and meaningful impact in one generation – electrifying life – on and off the job.
