Job Overview

  • As an SAP EAM Project Manager for our client, you will play a mission-critical leadership role overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) projects.
  • You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical and functional teams, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Your expertise in SAP EAM, project management methodologies, and asset-intensive operations will drive successful transformation and operational excellence as part of our client’s Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR).

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of SAP EAM projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, solution architects, functional consultants, technical specialists, and vendors.
  • Ensure clear definition of project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with our client’s business goals.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as needed.
  • Manage project change requests, scope adjustments, and stakeholder expectations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, status updates, and escalations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and steering committee sessions to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Engage with asset management, operations, IT, and executive leadership to drive project buy-in and adoption.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.

Quality Assurance & Value Realization:

  • Ensure that SAP EAM solutions are delivered in accordance with our client’s quality standards, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee testing, training, data migration, and cutover activities to ensure a smooth transition to new processes and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.
  • Track and report on project KPIs, benefits realization, and post-implementation performance.

Continuous Learning & Best Practices:

  • Stay current with SAP EAM innovations, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and develop project team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned within the our client project management and asset management communities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years leading SAP EAM or asset management system implementation projects in asset-intensive industries (energy, utilities, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Proven experience with SAP EAM/PM modules and integration with other SAP and third-party systems.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Agile/Scrum, Prince2, etc.), project planning, and risk management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with external vendors and partners.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Recognized certifications in project management (PMP, Agile, Prince2) and SAP EAM are highly desirable.
