Job Overview
- Support Project Control Centre (PCC) as PCC engineer to rectify engineering issues which come up on an 8-12 hour shift.
- Prepare Technical Work Packages such as workplans for Modifications, Temporary Modifications and Non-Identical Component Replacements for Mechanical, electrical/instrumentation/control design modifications
- Provide Engineering Change Control (ECC) guidance, provide active support to field issues and Field Initiated Changes and facilitate a positive outcome with EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) vendors
- Provide knowledge and oversight for engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance.
- Lead and participate in various stages of projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors to achieve project goals
- Apply our client’s ECC processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practice
- Understand impacts on cost and schedule, and provide support to minimize impacts driving projects
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical/ electrical/ chemical / electronics/ mechatronics engineering is preferred
- Requires knowledge of English to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form and proficiency in technical report writing to develop, prepare and implement standards, methods, procedures, and comprehensive report
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear and conventional systems including engineering processes, codes, and standards.
- Experience with ECC processes is highly desirable
- People management skills or training, with the ability to mentor and guide team
- Experience in Project Coordination and Nuclear Refurbishment projects is preferred
