Design Section Manager (DSM) Job Responsibilities
The Design Section Managers shall be responsible for providing technical and consultative services, problem solving, technical advice and guidance, technical specifications, modification expertise and related services to our client’s personnel, management and other interested parties including regulatory agencies, concerning modification of nuclear SSCs.
Responsibilities include:
- Adherence and reinforcement of our client’s ECC guidelines and procedures for executing production of Detailed Design Deliverables.
- Maintain a team of subordinates including DTLs, DEs, and MTLs, capable of producing the output required and be responsible for that output as an approving authority.
- Ensuring subordinates are fully qualified to perform their duties.
- Provide leadership to subordinates so that they collaborate competently and with full commitment, with the Design and Project Management organizations and with each other in pursuing the goals set.
- Provide a safe and healthy work environment.
DSM shall be qualified to the following, or have the experience/skills required to be qualified to:
- Design Engineering Supplemental – QUAL ID 45233
- Stepped-up Supervisor – QUAL ID 4103
Must have an engineering degree and a P.Eng. license and over 8 years’ experience.
