Job Overview
- As an SAP Solution Architect at our client, this role plays a mission-critical function in designing, implementing, and continuously improving integrated SAP solutions.
- Leveraging TOGAF and leading architecture frameworks ensures technical excellence and alignment across business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Collaboration with utility experts and a high-performing ERP team supports the Strategic Transformation Roadmap and delivers innovative, high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise and Technical Architecture
- Leads the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture using TOGAF, ensuring robust alignment across business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Applies COBIT for IT governance and SAP Activate for structured project delivery, ensuring compliance, repeatability, and value realization.
- Architects and integrates SAP solutions (S/4HANA, ECC, FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.) with other enterprise and third-party systems, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
- Defines and governs data models, data flows, and migration strategies to ensure quality, integrity, and compliance with data governance standards.
- Designs, deploys, and optimizes SAP infrastructure (on-premise, cloud, or hybrid) in line with current and future business needs.
- Utilizes LeanIX for enterprise architecture management and Signavio for business process modeling to accelerate the creation, visualization, and communication of architecture deliverables.
- Rapidly produces high-quality technical deliverables and architecture components to support fast-paced project environments.
Business Architecture and Process Optimization
- Analyzes and translates business strategies, goals, and processes into SAP-enabled solutions that support the Strategic Transformation Roadmap.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders, utility experts, and ERP team members to identify transformation opportunities and ensure measurable value and compliance.
- Leads fit-gap analysis, solution design, prototyping, integration, testing, and deployment, applying SAP Activate and agile methodologies including SAFe.
Project Management, Agile Delivery, and Team Collaboration
- Works closely with project managers, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between architecture, delivery, and business objectives.
- Contributes to agile ceremonies, project planning activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mentors and guides team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment.
- Provides expert guidance on configuration, customization reduction and management, and best practices.
- Works closely with developers, functional consultants, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Continuous Learning, Thought Leadership, and Initiative
- Champions a culture of continuous learning by staying current with SAP innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Iteratively delivers thought leadership by sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned within the organization and the broader SAP community.
- Demonstrates initiative and a self-driven attitude in identifying opportunities, solving complex problems, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP solution architecture, design, and implementation across business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC modules and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of TOGAF, COBIT, SAP Activate, and agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban, with practical experience in applying these methodologies to support strategic transformation.
- Experience in rapidly producing architecture deliverables and components using tools like LeanIX and Signavio.
- Project management experience and demonstrated ability to work as an effective team player in cross-functional agile teams, particularly in collaboration with utility experts and high-performing ERP teams.
- Demonstrated initiative, a self-driven attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, ABAP, SAP Cloud Platform, and integration tools is considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- SAP certification(s) and additional certifications in TOGAF, COBIT, or agile frameworks such as SAFe Agilist are highly desirable.
