Job Overview

  • As an SAP Integrations Architect at our client, this role plays a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and optimizing integration solutions across the SAP and non-SAP landscape.
  • Leveraging industry-leading architecture frameworks and best practices ensures seamless, secure, and scalable integration of business processes and data flows that support the Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR).
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders, utility experts, and the ERP team enables the delivery of high-impact, future-ready integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise and Technical Architecture

  • Leads the design and governance of SAP integration architecture, ensuring robust alignment across business, application, data, and technology domains.
  • Architects and implements integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Platform Integration, API Management, Event Mesh), Process Orchestration, and other middleware tools.
  • Defines and governs integration patterns, data flows, messaging standards, and API strategies to ensure quality, integrity, and compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Oversees the integration of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other SAP systems with third-party and legacy systems across on-premise, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Applies SAP Activate, agile methodologies, and industry best practices to accelerate delivery and maximize value realization from integration solutions.
  • Utilizes LeanIX for enterprise architecture management and Signavio for business process modeling to support architecture deliverables.

Solution Design and Delivery

  • Analyzes and translates business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions.
  • Leads solution design, prototyping, integration, testing, and deployment for end-to-end business processes.
  • Provides expert guidance on integration security, compliance, and SAP best practices.
  • Collaborates with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Project Management, Agile Delivery, and Team Collaboration

  • Works closely with project managers, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between integration architecture, delivery, and business objectives.
  • Mentors and guides team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment.
  • Collaborates with developers, functional consultants, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical integration solutions.
  • Supports agile ceremonies, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Continuous Learning, Thought Leadership, and Initiative

  • Champions a culture of continuous learning by staying current with SAP integration innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Shares thought leadership, best practices, and lessons learned within the organization and the broader SAP community.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a self-driven attitude in identifying opportunities, solving complex problems, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP architecture or integration, including at least 3 years focused on SAP Integration Suite, Process Orchestration, or similar middleware and integration platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing integration solutions for SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and third-party systems.
  • Strong knowledge of TOGAF, COBIT, SAP Activate, and agile frameworks (such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban), with practical experience in applying these methodologies.
  • Experience with API management, messaging protocols, security standards, and hybrid integration scenarios.
  • Familiarity with LeanIX, Signavio, and other architecture and process modeling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • SAP Integration certification(s) and additional certifications in TOGAF, COBIT, or agile frameworks (such as SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable.
