JOB FUNCTION
- Coordinate, develop, implement, and maintain supply chain processes and systems to support procurement, logistics. inventory management, and distribution for the client division/departments.
- Provide functional advice and guidance to management on supply chain strategies, supplier relationship management, risk management, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Provide support for demand planning and order fulfillment processes. Conduct analyses of supply chain performance and prepare forecasts for inventory and supply needs. Provide timely and reliable supply chain reports to line management.
- Participate in the development of procedures related to the supply chain administration of Genco Services.
JOB DUTIES
- Provide expertise. assurance, and advice to Directors/Managers of client work groups in Supply Chain Services in one or more of the following disciplines: Procurement, Logistics. Inventory Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Risk Management.
- Recommend, implement, and execute systems for supply chain planning, provide analyses and assessments of supply chain plans and results; prepare client division’s/departments’ consolidated supply chain performance reports.
- Recommend, implement, and execute systems for procurement and internal control; ensure due diligence and internal control frameworks are in place and operating effectively; coordinate supply chain reports, including meeting year-end audit requirements.
- Provide functional advice, guidance, direction, and assistance in supply chain and business matters to all management of the client division/departments. Ensure their work activities comply with applicable policies. practices. standards, and guidelines. As necessary, influence change to ensure compliance, and be accountable for the quality and soundness of the advice given.
- Recommend, implement, and execute systems for risk management, supplier analysis, and decision support; provide expert functional support to line organizations’ producUservice costing, pricing, and bidding.
- Provide supply chain and business support to line organizations in developing business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, procurement, control, risk management, and decision support; support line management in producUservice costing, pricing, and bidding.
- Provide timely, accurate, relevant, and reliable supply chain, operating, and planning information to ensure effective management of the client division/departments; provide advice and guidance on supply chain and business matters.
- Ensure that the supply chain planning/budgeting processes, systems, and procedures to provide procurement and supply chain records conform with Corporate policy.
- Work with others in Supply Chain Services to ensure integrated solutions are provided to satisfy the needs of the function’s customers.
- Develop and review business cases; undertake/contribute to business process reengineering initiatives.
- Periodically assign, check work, and provide guidance and direction to other staff assisting in work projects in the department or elsewhere in the Division.

EDUCATION
- Requires knowledge of supply chain concepts. principles. and related disciplines including supply chain analysis, economic decision analysis, management systems, supply chain and management accounting, program and budget administration, and computer systems as necessary for the evaluation, development, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of strategies, policies. procedures. and systems related to supply chain administration recommendations and the provision of advice and guidance on their appropriate application.
- Requires a good command of English to communicate effectively with all contacts involved in accomplishing the work objectives.
- This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the successful completion of 4 years of University training (Grade XII plus 5 years), and eligibility for a professional supply chain designation, such as CSCP, CPIM, or by having the equivalent level of education.
EXPERIENCE
- Requires experience in a supply chain management and procurement environment to be familiar with and understand the overall management process. supply chain policies and procedures. approval processes. supply chain administration, internal controls, information technology applications, and analytical requirements of the assigned work group, and the capabilities and limitations in endeavoring to meet these needs.
- Requires experience to be familiar with the assigned work group’s organization and operations and the range of services and products provided. Requires experience in the application of value-based management and strategic business thinking.
- Requires experience assessing, developing, recommending, and implementing supply chain planning, procurement, risk analysis, and supply chain policies, procedures, and programs.
- Requires experience providing business advice to decision makers which has resulted in adoption of recommendations and significant business improvements.
- A period of over 8 years. up to and including 1O years. is considered necessary to gain this experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros. Experience with data visualization tools like Power Bl to create insightful dashboards and reports.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Asset Suite, particularly modules related to supply chain, procurement, and inventory management.
- Database Management: Skills in SQL for querying databases to extract and manipulate supply chain data.
- Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical methods and tools like R or Python for supply chain forecasting and optimization.
- Project Management Tools: Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asana to manage supply chain projects and initiatives.
- Process Improvement Methodologies: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Supply Chain Modeling: Ability to use modeling tools to simulate supply chain scenarios and optimize processes.
- E-commerce Platforms: Understanding of e-commerce platforms and their impact on supply chain logistics and distribution.
- Communication and Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in using communication and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Slack for effective teamwork and information sharing.
- These technical skills will enable a Senior Business Analyst in Supply Chain to effectively analyze, optimize, and manage supply chain operations. contributing to the organization’s overall efficiency and success.
