Job Overview
- Be responsible for coordinating and delegating work with a team of Design Engineers to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost commitments as established by the Engineering Section Managers and/or Project Managers.
- Adhere to specific governance, processed and guidelines used to produce and deliver high quality design packages from project initiate phase to closeout phase.
- Conduct field work to validate assumptions for ongoing assignments, and to provide technical support/oversight for execution activities.
- Interact with vendors, work include, but not limited to:
- Coordinate and accept design documents (Drawings, Calculation, BOMs, Design Reports, etc.)
- Coordinate and accept TSSA Registration package and follow ups
- Attend review meetings, as required, provide field support for design concerns
Qualifications
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience
- P. Eng designation required.
- Experience with Engineering Change Control process and working with Asset Suite
- OPG Design Engineer Qualification or equivalent is preferred
- ASME SECTION III CODE CERTIFICATION ACTIVITIES – APPENDIX XXIII qualified Design Engineer is an asset
- Project management or Project Coordination experience
- Piping Design, Pressure Boundary experience
